Extruded 16" hollowcore can handle heavier design loads, allowing for longer spans. With larger planks, double tee girders and supporting columns are not neccessary to achieve longer spans. This means flat ceilings with more open space and greater design flexibility. Planks can be painted, which eliminates shadow effects and the use of drop ceilings or other ceiling treatments.
